Most of my years between age 5 and 18 are a blur for me, but 1977, when I was 18, that was all to change - I had my first physical, cognitive encounter with the beings that I work with today.
 
In 1977, I was living in a high-rise block of flats in Melbourne, Australia (we were on the third floor). One day at about 1:30pm, I spotted an object through our large kitchen window. I could see it clearly; it seemed to be floating, quite steady with no movement at all.
 
I called to a friend who was in another room, he came to the window and looked out, when he saw the craft, he stood there stunned! I asked him “Can you see that?” - We were both wondering what the hell was going on. Both of us were standing there, transfixed on the craft and not speaking.
 
This craft would have been 10 meters away from us, the object looked cigar shaped, shiny, silver metallic, and possibly 20 meters long and 4 meters high. Craft fitting this general description are referred to as 'tic-tac' craft these days - there was no such name back in 1977!
 
The skin of the craft became "clear" on one end, as if a portal had opened and we both saw two “beings” inside - they were watching us, turning to look at each other, and then back to us, as we watched them. I began to feel uneasy. They appeared to gently sway, only so slightly, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of them.
 
Yes, at this point I doubted my sanity.
 
Suddenly there was knocking and pounding on the door - we let two neighbours in; they were yelling at us "Had we seen the UFO?"
 
And so now, the four of us are standing at the window of our kitchen, watching the craft. They told us, they’d had to drive under it to get to their own unit/apartment, which was on the floor below us.
 
This lasted a few minutes then the craft simply vanished.
 
We all turned in unison, walked over to the lounge room and sat down and watched the TV - no one spoke, and what always amazed me about this situation was, none of us ever spoke of it again, like it became an old memory and something you wouldn't bother discussing...
